pickles
me & allie went to the MSPCA this weekend & adopted this cute little guy. we named him "Pickles"
nice ego
travolta's ego
i like this part:
"Travolta said that even though he is sensitive to the environment, he needs his own planes because it's a big hassle to be a movie star and get around. He also told reporters that the answer to global warming might possibly be to build domed cities in space. (We'll get right on it.) For some, the sky is no limit to ego."

we'd have a riot doing heroin
so me & allie headed up to Eliot, ME to see the drunken cholos play last night. for those of you not in the know, the cholos are the original lineup of the queers, (circa 1984). "a day late & a dollar short" lp sums up this era quite nicely..
given the popularity of the queers, i was expecting a huge show of aging punks, scenesters, and random old people coming out of the woodwork to see this epic event... so we get to this place. its great. basically a small town hall. too funny. there was like 40-45 high school kids there.. a few old dudes like me... and one 6yr old kid. it was great. it was like i turned the clock back to when i first started going to shows.. kids that i would have written off as not having a clue about this stuff, knew all the words. it was aweomse. there is hope, yet.
a few bands played first.. went out side and i chatted with joe for a bit before they went on, as i hadnt seen him in a while...one more band, and then the cholos were on.. it was a blast. tight. fun. raw. of course, unless you know the lyrics, you would have no idea what wimpy was singing.. but thats the best part about it. haha oh, and another thing i love -it started at 6pm.. so by the time joe/wimpy/tulu where done it was 10pm. sweet. so by 10:30pm, we were back on the road to manch.. in bed by 12.. back up at 5 to go to work this morning. ugh.

Simmons Says 3 Epithets Should Be Banned
My Way News - Simmons Says 3 Epithets Should Be Banned
so he wants to have the radio ban certain words? big deal.
nothing new about this... damn, even wunh put restrictions on what we could play..
if RS is so concerned about these three "curse" words... why is he still paying his artists to say them? personally, i think MOST mainstream rap music is shit.. it sets a horrible example for young kids, is degrading to woman, and in musically is just plain terrible. however.. i believe in freedom of speeech, and i believe that anyone can say anything they want, record anything they want, and sell anything they want - regardless about how you or I feel about it. If I find the new snoop dog offensive.. well then i just wont buy it. but i support his right to say bitch, ho, or nigger as much as he wants... but he wont get any of my money. thats america, baby...
my point is that russel simmons is being somewhat hypocritical in that he doesnt agree with these words, but yet, people on his record lable have been saying this, and making him a ton of money by doing so.
lets just be consistant, ok?

such a good weekend. im soo stoked that summer/spring is finally here... i left work a little early on friday & headed home.. i really should have been cleaning, but i wanted to enjoy the weather, so i started cleanin' out my garden.. there is soo many rocks from the walkway that made thier way in there over the winter.
allie came over & we headed out to meet my parents for din-din. free food is good food.
saturday, i got up early & headed out on the bike for a nice 3hr ride.. i got a little sunburn on the arms, but it felt good.. once i got back we headed out to portsmouth & did alot of walking around... drove home thru Durham/UNH and got some kickass falafel. aww yeah.
sunday, i headed over to my parents for a ride.. i parked my car at thier house & headed out solo for a long seacoast ride.. down into exteter, over to hampton, up to portsmouth, down to newmarket, up to durham, down to epping, back to the parents about 3.5hrs later. my mom wanted to go out for a little ride, so i filled up a bottle & headed out for another hour... all in all, logged 75miles.. not too bad.. im a tad tired today.. but its a rest week, so its all good. :)

i am switzerland.
due to continual arguments, and frustrations at work, and various other reasons... I have decided that i no longer have an opinion on ANYTHING at work.
it actually is working out quite nicely... so far.
so when someone says to me, "what are you thoughts on global warming?" i just say, i have no opinion... "gun control?" no opinion. "veganism?" nada. "abortion?" still nothing. "taxes?" you guessed it... no opinion.
it is liberating, actually. I can go in my office... drink my coffee and just get my work done... ok.. im not actually getting my work done.. but i enjoy my coffee much more now.

im ALWAYS right...
ugh. i know a certain person that loves to argue. but there is no arguing with him because he is always right... well, not really.. but in his mind. global warming? nope, liberal media made that up to destroy america. hmm. ya know, i cant prove that it exists... but i cant prove that it doesnt either. his decision is based upon "common sense". really? wow. common sense tells me if the majority of scientist agree that there is such a thing as man-made global warming, then chances are, there may be something to that arguement. i agree that leo dicaprio or angelina jole probably dont know squat about what they are talking about... but that doesnt mean it doesnt exisit. i dunno. its annoying. im sick of arguing about things. its not even an arguement about who's right... its an arguement about the fact that he wont accept the possibility that he could be wrong.
anyways... got back on the bike last night. this morning i feel like crap.
im tweetering on kicking this cold or getting sick again. allie has it now. ugh. blows. hopefully she feels better soon.
movies this weekend.. hopefully.

yawn...
man, i have been getting no sleep lately. i think spending the entire weekend in bed messed up my sleep cycles. yesterday, i go in early enough, that i could leave early, and still have an 11 hour day... yikes.
im back on the bike. tuesday i just did an easy hour to test the waters, and make sure i was really over my cold. last night, i did an hour of tempo, some threshold work, and another hour of endurance work. im not putting in huge hours at this point.. but at least trying to get a few 3hr rides/wk. its been a looong time since i have built up my endurance, and without racing until september, i got plenty of time ;)

me and allie had a good weekend... after working the last half of the week on computer stuff at work, i headed to my parents to set up my mom's new vista machine.. finished that around 10pm & headed back to manch.. very tired..
saturday headed out for a ride... then me & allie went to the mall to get her hair done.. it is short & blonde now.. and super sexy. it looks really really really f'n good. later that night we were about to leave for a fun-filled night of going to target... as i opened the door, i saw my neighbors trying to hoist a keg out the window onto the roof below... hmm.. this looks interesting.. i pictured it ending badly. but upon our return from target, they all had climbed onto the roof with the keg. nicely done. we joined them for a bit... then went back inside after they all laughed at me for being almost 33. kids today have no respect for thier elders.
sunday i rode for 3 hrs, which is alot for me these days.. ugh... then headed down to boston to watch the Tuffs crit. scary race. confirms my decision not to race road this year. aftwarwards we headed to the middle east for some delicious falafel. oh man it was sooo good.
