up all night..... sleep all day..

thats right.

ugh. i was up till about 12:30am building this damn computer.
not having done this before, i took my time & was very careful. while im sure this is easy to some, installing the CPU & heatsink was kind of a daunting task. I am just a 'tad' nervous that i did something wrong.

anyways, its basically all put together. i had to fix a few things & take everything out to change somethings. ugh. oh well, it looks nice. i still need to hook up power & sata cables to my hard drives... and instal my fan controller.

oh, and im still waiting on my nvida 8800gts video card. it should be there in the next few days (hopefully). i may plug in my old card tonight, to at least boot up & play around in the bios. we'll see how tired i am when i get home.

im coming out of the closet

ok. i cant live this lie anymore. i need to get this off my chest, regardless of the consequences.....ok, here i go: I like Gwen Stefani. yup its true. I do. and im not ashamed any longer. I bought here new album (although i am a little ashmed about this. its fun. well, half of it is, anyways.

just to make sure i dont become a total wuss, i downloaded some Sham69! today. Nothing like some good Oi to straighten me out.

Yesterday, i came home to a plethora of packages on my doorstep. yay! pretty much all my computer stuff came. The only thing im waiting for now is my Nvidia 8600 GTS video card. ugh. so basically, im stuck untill this comes on saturday. stupid circuit city with thier stupid shipping.

oh well, this gives me time to get my case all set up proper. i spent last night, cutting holes in the mobo tray, so i can hide all my cables. this morning, i came into work at 545am so that i could paint the inside of the case flat black. it looks pretty sweet. oh yeah, i dont have a place to do this in my condo, thats why i did it at work :) i will get some photos up soon

yesterday's workout

yesterday i had a site walk @ 9am in Litchfield...although I thought it was in Windham. ugh. luckly, i realized this before i left. however, i forgot my winter boots, so had to detour back to my pad to pick 'em up. Well, i should have got gas 2 days go..then i should have filled up on the way to work... ok, im really pushing it... i MUST fill up at the next station... nope. for some reason, i thought i could make it a bit further. i was running late & didnt want to be later. ugh.

so im at a stop light on Route 3A (manchester's equivilent of Storrow Drive - 2 lanes, fast, no place to pull over). car stales. wont start. ugh.
yeah, this is gonna be messy... put the flashers on, and start pushing. i make it thru the first hurdle.. then hit a red light. i decide to run it.. yeah. still pushing.. then this HUGE burst of cars comes flying by me... people dont expect a stopped car in the road when they are going 50mph. and there is no place for me to pull over. i keep pushing untill i get to a parking lot. i try to get it in there, but hit a snow bank instead. ugh. now i gotta back my car up (into traffic). yeah, finally did that. parked it in a restricted area. then i got my morning run in to the nearest station. then run back. ugh. spilled it all over me. damn.
yeah, so i finally got to my meeting.

today i finished the last part of ordering all my computer components. this is going to be one bad mofo of a computer ;) everything should be here next week.. then ill start building it. general stuff:

PNY Nvidia 8800 GTS (waaay overkill, but me likey)

sick.

i feel like shit.
on top of that, work has been mad.
monday: 6am to 8:45pm (late conservation commission meeting)
tuesday: "normal day" then go home & sleep
wed: 7am to 10:30pm (late planning board meeting)
thursday: ugh. i feel like hell.

working 15hr days is certainly not helping me fight this cold...
sucks, i havent been to the gym for a week now. i hate being out of shape.

im hoping today & tomorrow will lighten up a bit & i can catch up on some sleep or at least be able to go home & relax (yay for tonight... the office, scurbs, 30 rock.... yay!)
