Quad core, here I come!

  

So I broke down and bought some (probably unneeded) upgrades for my computer.  I have been eyeing this chip for a while now.  With such a good price, i thought it would be a good time to buy some (slightly outdated) technology.

Add in another $25 (!!!) for a second pair of 4GB RAM and I got a nice little upgrade.  My christmas vacation will consist of me:

• installing new CPU
  
• popping in 8GB of RAM
  
• formating hard drives
  
• installing Vista 64 bit

new tech tuesday

so rumor has it that ATT 3G has finally come to manchester.  its not showing up on my N95 yet, but im hoping that will change before thanksgiving.

the new Intel i7 chip is now out as well.  oh man, would i love to get my hands one one of those.  but alas, i did just build this machine.  and since 95% of its use is limited to checking my email, i probably don't need anything faster than an overclocked C2D.....  or do i??

only 1.5 weeks left before thanksgiving.  which brings me into my ultimate happy season.  allie and i are leaving for a short trip to nyc the following week.  im pretty stoked.  we are staying directly across the street from the american museum of natural history .  yes!.

holding out for android

with the new Nokia phones hitting the market, its tempting to ditch my N95-3 for something new and exciting.  but i just can't seem to shake my excitement about the "google phone" (aka Android OS).  while T-Mobile got their grimy mits on the first model to hit the streets, im hopeful that a AT&T version (unlucked) will be out soon.

come on Samsung.  give me a 5mp cam, GPS, 30fps video, topped off with Android and I will buy it faster than I can say "goodbye symbian"

forgetful mind

how the hell i forgot to mention this is beyond me.  my one desire in all of my 34 years of existence has been a RC car.  well, about a month ago, i finally figured it was about time i bought one.  more pictures and videos to come.  now my one desire is some free time to play with it!

maybe its because of the direct interaction between it and Civil 3D , but I love this application.

now its time to learn Sketchup so i can put manchester on the map.
