loooong weekend

i had planned my rest week to fall on the long weekend. that way me & allie could have some fun, without me having to worry about getting any long rides in. smart me.

we had a pretty relaxing weekend... really didnt do too much. saturday was really nice, so we went for a loong walk around downtown manch. made some delish salad... and then got some soy ice cream (cookie dough!!!). also planted some more flowers at my place & it looks really good.

sunday, the weather looked like it would hold off, so we headed up to Franconia to visit the flume gorge. as we were driving up there, it was goign from very sunny, to very overcast. ugh. anyways, we got about 5mins into the trail, and i stopped to take some pictures of the river. as im squatting down, i hear "plop". hmmm "i hope that wasnt my cell phone." yup, sure enough, its sitting at the bottom of the river. shit. i got it out, but its dead. me & allie tried drying it out all the way home, but it has limited function now... and most features wont work... ugh. i loved that phone.

im elegible for an upgrade in 2 weeks... so i think im going with this one..
basically a newer version of my last one. with symbian OS, 2mp camera, mp3 player (dont need) and 5x the internal memory that my last one had. im not a big fan of flip phones.. but its my only choice for a symbian phone on cingular. ugh. oh well. oh, and its a 3G phone, so it should be super fast on the internet....

oh, i ordered up some tubular wheels. now i can be a real 'cross racer. :)
American Classic hubs, laced to Ambrosio Nemesis hoops. should be mega-light and bomb-proof. Grifo 32's. zank said he would give me a hand getting them on, as im a newbie.
